Work focuses heavily on the technology used in rim forming. The tensile strength and tenacity required for the inner edge are dramatically increased and, at the same time, adding more durability on the outer rim. Furthermore, allowing a thinner rim makes it lightweight, positively comparable to forged wheels. This manufacturing method makes the macrostructure of aluminum more defined. After the barrel is cast, the mold is stretched out while an immense amount of pressure is applied. Work's flow form manufacturing method was initially used on the inner barrel of the Work Emotion CR Kiwami. Low-pressure cast construction has a denser material property over gravity cast wheels, allowing a more significant strength advantage over gravity cast with flow-forming the barrel.Face: Semi Concave / Middle Concave / Deep Concave / Ultra Deep Concave based on sizing.Colors: Matte Graphite / Ice White / Glow Silver. The manufacturing process of their 1, 2, and 3-piece wheels are completed to the highest safety standards with multiple testing during the manufacturing process to ensure the wheels are accurate and meet the high standards expected from Work Wheels.
Work Wheels are one of Japan's premier manufacturers of high-quality automotive performance wheels. This barrel method, also known as WFT, allows reducing weight without sacrificing strength. The 5 spoke design gained influence from previous models by utilizing WORK's Flowforming Technology. For 2018, Work Wheels has introduced a new model to the Emotion series, the Emotion T5R. Work Emotion T5R is the lightest wheel in the Emotion range, a sensational 5 spoke design for use in competitive motorsports and on the streets! Accessible with tons of colors and various degrees of concavity.
